Critical Bug: Eldrich Battery broken unable to restore life at all with Eternal Life specd

Expected behavior: use item with Eldrich Battery (like Visage of Ayah) to remove energy shield so that you can restore life

Current bug: Initially this worked for me, but after experimenting with ascendency skills (respeccing) and passives, at some point wearing Visage of Ayah no longer removes energy shield. I don't recall specific event that caused it to stop working, I've been experimenting a lot with ascendency points, gear and passives. Doesn't matter though, Eldrich Battery is broken and should always work no matter gear, passives or ascendency pts.

I have experimented with this extensively - removing all gear does not enable Eldrich Battery to kick in so must be something in passive points or possible a bug when respeccing ascendency points.

This is a critical bug because without Eternal Life currently Lich ascendency not playable, class is way out of league with others without Eternal Life. Without ability to restore life, the only way is to pay to refund Eternal Life passive any time you lose life - that is extremely undesirable/unplayable.

Energy shield obtained from other conversion and "gain as extra" effects can't be converted by Eldritch Battery because the stat conversion process happens simultaneously. You likely got Enhanced Barrier notable from the passsive tree. There might be hundreds of bug reports like yours already.

I know it doesn't add up with the "all Energy Shield" specification, but GGG has been refusing to remove/reword it for a year now.

That's just a bad or unfinished design, you can suggest some improvements.
