Ryzen 9 9950X3D vs Ultra 9 285K + 5090 (4090)

GGG, assemble 2 maximum top-tier PCs with Intel and AMD processors and test them in the Endgame Farm on maps with lots of mobs, Legion + Delirium, Breach, and similar mechanics.

Just look at where your 'optimization' is going. Nowhere.

Not everyone has a high-end PC. Please optimize the game for lower-end systems too.

ps. My question is simply about which PC would be the best fit for your game. Please provide an answer.

Hopefully the GabeCube will introduce a new "base line" for developers to optimize for.

I doubt that it will impact PoE tho :P

If you’re after pure gaming performance, the 9800X3D is the obvious choice, with the 9950X3D only making sense if you’re splitting your time between gaming and heavier workstation tasks. And as for Intel… that’s still a firm no, their CPUs are, generously speaking, a landfill donation.
If you can get your hands on a 4090 for a remotely reasonable price, that’s the move and pretty much the ceiling of current gaming performance. Worst case, a 5090 can fill the slot if needed.
