Merchant Tabs - How it works on an account?

Hi,

I'd like to upgrade one of my Premium Stash in Merchant Tabs but i'm confused how it works.

First you have a list of stash but you can't know which one it is in game.
What happens if there are items in it and i ugrade it?
Also does this affect my Standard Stashes?
They are all full of items and if i remove one premium to get one merchant what happens?
Or maybe i completely do not understand how it works?

Yes, it will affect your Standard stash.

Any items in the tab being converted, in any league, will remain available in a remove-only stash tab in that league. The items will not be lost.
