Amazon defense ascendancy node Stalking Panther

This node always feels bad to take.
Since gloves are a very offensive slot and there are many cool uniques, evasion from gloves often makes no sense.
Every evasion related build uses an ES helmet, due to Subterfuge Mask.
Only boots can utilize this node, but node has a downside for body armour.

Maybe it's possible to rework this node?

What if make a completely irrelevant to evasion defense layer?
For example:

Less magic damage is taken if you've dealt a Projectile Attack Hit in the past eight seconds.
Less physical damage is taken if you've dealt a Melee Hit in the past eight seconds.
Less chaos damage is taken while all effects are active.
