Genuine question About PoE 2 1.0
|
If the frequency of updates is a major patch every 4 months and at December 2025 we will be at Patch 0.4, does that mean the full game 1.0 release will be in December 2027 at the current update/development pace?
I remember this game was supposed to be released somewhere next year (correct me if I am wrong) but I am sure there was a mention about the 1.0 release somewhere eariler during the intital beta release. Last bumped on Nov 12, 2025, 5:20:37 PM

They can jump from e.g. 0.6 to 1.0.
Last communication I saw was GGG saying that they'd be very disappointed if they couldn't release 1.0 next year. At the moment, there's 2 acts missing. They said that the interlude is intended as a very short-time temporary thing, suggesting that 5th act is pretty far in development. 5 weapons/classes are missing. As per last communication, druid wasn't in the last release due to animation issues, so probably it's in the next release. No idea how far in design and development the other classes are. End game and crafting are missing a few key things. Next update is supposed to be big for end game. It really depends what the next patch has. If it's again missing druid and other new weapons/classes and if the end game changes are very superficial, I think that's going to be a sign that next year might not be the year of 1.0. OTOH, if the patch is biggest since launch, that gives high confidence that 1.0 happens next year. Probably it's somewhere in-between. Last edited by tzaeru#0912 on Nov 12, 2025, 9:36:33 AM

" Oh yeah? Are they marketing the game with this motto? "You will pay us but it will be ready when it's ready so be quiet please." Hilarious. Neden yaşıyorsun?

I think they said in the latest interview that they want at least 3 succesfull league and they also said that they dont mind making full release without every class available yet.

" Almost sound they forced you to buy the game but the fact is that you bought an alpha game, not even beta. So yeah it's ready when it's ready :D |
|
" Thank you for this thorough explaination. That makes a lot of sense. You are right, it all depends on how much content we will be getting on the next patches. They are probably going to delay some classes till after release, but the pace of the current updates was to say the least, worrying to me as we still don't have a clear road map of what is ahead. |

" I know how versioning works. Ever since 0.1 we have been steadily moving at 0.1 increments every 4 months. So it was safe to assume that this will continue till 1.0 unless something major about development works that speeds up the process which we haven't seen any signs about so far. |
|
" Thats information I have definitely missed. So it means we won't necessarily need 8 or 9 leagues to reach 1.0. Thanks for sharing that info! |
|
" Yes, that is exactly how EARLY ACCESS works. |
