Infernal Legion AOE radius

Infernal Legion cannot hit a mob if the something like a mandible or elephant companion is attacking it. The radius is smaller than it's melee range. And others have noted that you can up the radius by using various supports. But, if it is working, it still doesn't hit a mob that the mandible/elephant is attacking.
