🚨 PoE 3.27: Broken Trade Market and Frustrating UI on PS5

Hello Exiles,
I want to initiate a critical discussion about the biggest barrier to enjoying Path of Exile on consoles: the completely broken trade market and the frustrating UI experience on PS5.
I play on PS5, and frankly, the current trade system makes efficient endgame progression nearly impossible, leading to many players abandoning PoE 1.
1. Excruciatingly Slow Listing and Pricing
The current system for listing and pricing items using a controller is extremely slow, clunky, and time-consuming:
Listing Takes Hours: Setting prices and managing listings for a high volume of items can easily consume hours of valuable playtime.
No Efficient Tools: We desperately lack a fast, intuitive way to mass-price and list items.
Wasted Effort: Even after spending hours listing items, nothing sells because the console market is too small and the prices are in total disarray (often wildly underpriced compared to the PC market).
2. The Critical State of the Console Market (PS5)
The console player base is simply too small to sustain a healthy economy:
Unrealistic Prices: We see extreme price disparities. For example, a Divine Orb for 150 Chaos Orbs (while PC prices are often double or triple that), which creates an absurd imbalance.
The Faustus Market Failure: Many players are either unaware of or unwilling to use the new trade system via Faustus. The new market system has completely destroyed the already fragile trading experience and is incredibly difficult to use with a controller. The old trade board we had previously in PoE 1 was far more functional.
Endgame Items Are Unobtainable: Getting items like Headhunter or Mageblood is absolutely unrealistic for the average console player (outside of an extremely lucky fresh drop). We cannot rely on trading and farming to work toward these items because the economy is non-functional.
💡 Proposed Solutions: Cross-Market and Bulk Pricing
Beyond the urgent need for a UI overhaul, there are only two solutions that can truly fix the console economy:
Introduce a Cross-Market Trading System: Merge the console market (PS/Xbox) with the much larger and healthier PC economy. This would instantly stabilize prices and make endgame progression achievable through farming and trading.
Bulk Pricing Stash Tabs: We need to implement a "stash tab" system that allows for mass-pricing and bulk selling (e.g., everything in this tab for 1 Chaos Orb), similar to what has been shown for PoE 2. This would drastically speed up the sale of low-tier currency and common materials.
Without a functional market and usable trade UI, many players are going to quit PoE 1.
What are your thoughts on this? What are your experiences trading on PS5?
Thank you for any constructive feedback.

I totally agree. Market is absolutely crazy - some people only buying and selling via the asynchronous trading website, some via the "send whisper method" the rest is using Faustus. (For scarabs etc.)
Faustus interaction is a mess. I don't know why we can't have the same interaction options for PoE1 and PoE2 with Faustus. Honestly I found myself sitting on stuff I will never use instead of selling them just because of the dislike of Fastus interaction.
The lack of quick pricechecking method is frustrating as well. I guarantee you there's a lot of valuable stuff in players stashes just rotting because they don't want to manually pricecheck everything what they think is valuable.

The """"easiest"""" (and many times discussed) solution to the exonomy problems would be obviously enabling crossplatform - we all can see PC players clearly don't struggle with issues like this. The community is enormous, market is moving, evolving. People can do whatever content they want and make profit! We very often can't because the scarabs are not on market for example...

Every console player is basically forced to play softer version of SSF...
I think this is the beginning of the end.
Cross-trading with PC won't work, as I understand it, for technical reasons. It would be good if GGG would speak out clearly on this issue and not leave people hanging. Even if this happens, we still have an unsolvable problem: the controller is inconvenient to use and the lack of an app for checking prices. The only solution is to bring back the old trading market and improve it. But GGG is one of those people who rarely change their minds. They'll tinker with the new store for months, introducing new buttons and arrows, and hoping we'll get used to it.

Jonathan, if you're reading this and want to know why even someone as addicted as me has started playing less, it's the new trading market. I could manage one tab, but there are too many items in the game. I tried. It's too much for me.
I have to agree, i am playing the PS version of the game since release and server population is getting worse and worse. Poe2 release didnt help at all and i dont even blame players i simply sincererly understand why PoE1 players migrate to PoE2 even tho they dont like the game as much as PoE1, the reasson is comunity, which is slowly dying on PS poe1. It would be realy nice to figure out how to make at least trade cross platform.

I wouldnt mind loosing all microtransactions just to be able to trade with ppl from PC. GGG i didnt lose hope, still belive in your vision and future improvements, but no matter how good the league will be, we need more players. And i am afraid fusion of platforms is the only way i can rhink of.

Not everyone is fan of SSF and its slowly starting to be only option on consoles. Or maybe make special single player mode for console players with no trade and 5x drops 😅 i dont know

Good luck with solving, i still think PoE is masterpiece.
Please GGG what OP says is true. Trying to get my character to the next level and there are 3 terrible options yet PC has over 3000 for far less currency. Even a merging of console economies as a start would be welcome. Im on XBox and it just feels empty.
Ps5 player here, 100% agree with everything here. I was hyped for the asynchronous trading because I tried it on PoE2 but the lower player count on console is making me miss the trade market.

We don't have easy access for a price check, the trade market was our oyster way to do so. Please bring back the trade market for console.

Merging console markets would help a lot, ideally the PoE2 market would be best.
Agree with pretty much everything you’re saying. I’ve often thought about how much better it would be if we could have a cross platform market, but I think that’s a Sony restriction. I play on ps5 and I think the new trading would be a good option if they fixed the awful ui and gave us an easy way to price check from our inventory. In the past we could just use the button shortcut to instantly go to that items page. The new trading is much better for searching for specific rolls, but it is difficult to navigate and not user friendly. I prefer it to having to open the console browser which couldn’t save your searches and was just as poor to navigate. I usually price check everything from my phone before listing because of how much easier it is. I will say this is most alive the game has ever felt for me on console. Traveling to hideouts and searching through peoples merchant tabs has added a lot of immersion and made me more interested and invested. I definitely prefer this to old method that could potentially not even sell you the item or hold your currency hostage. And was limited on how many trades you could be doing. I agree that it seems like people don’t know how to use the currency exchange. It is impossible to find or sell most of the items on the exchange. Things like fragments, essence and scarabs will be there, but very limited. It is impossible to find or sell divination cards and many other things. Overall I feel like the new trading is like one step forward, and two steps back. I see a lot of things I like and a lot of potential, but they really hurt us by taking away some useful features. They should allow us to use both the old and new trading. The new trading isn’t any different from using the trade site in the past, and teleports you straight to the hideout. Just add the old back and instant trade from the stash to the buyer without teleporting them, like we were able to in the past. Progressing through endgame feels incredibly slow because of how limited the resources to entry are. You’re forced to play the game with a ssf approach and use trade as a supplementary resource. Most items for builds end up being crafted because you don’t have enough players selling them, which also eats into the very limited crafting resources on trade.
Wow. Just came here to bitch about the Xbox trade market, and have to say, we are seeing the same thing. 3c beast on PC is 8d on Xbox. And there are not enough players buying scarabs, essences, etc. to make up the difference. I just tell myself I'm playing SSF.

I think the endgame player base is just too small to sustain an active community/market. But, whatever, I've gotten so used to it, that it doesn't even phase me now.
I have no choice but to agree 😉 he wants to make it a cross like in Poe 2
