!SOLVED! Performance Issues in 3.27. Slow loading times when joining others hideouts/maps

When players have to tinker with their system settings, and things you should never be messing with on windows because one wrong move could brick your PC, you know the optimization of this game has gotten horrendous.

It is not the player's job to fix these kinds of technical problems, that's completely on the devs.

Its not just Poe problem, so many high end games suffered since 2024 half-baked windows updates. And windows still tinkering with system settings since then for the purpose of solving the issues, and introducing new problems with every update, while solving some of them.

Its easy to blame end of chain.

Yeeah Windows is just a trash OS. So much useless bloat on it, and processes running in the background that do nothing useful lol

I can't wait for the new Steam Machine with SteamOS to come out, depending on its performance and price it could be an insane W for gamers.

Agree, microsoft doesnt care for windows anymore, and they probably give zilch about gamers' problems. Im excited about steamos too

The frustrating part is that weeks go by and it feels like there s not even time or effort put into a hotfix or something similar. I get that it's a massive game but when these performance issues drag on for this long you start to wonder if they’re just not prioritizing it or worse if they don’t care enough to fix it at all. I m not trying to whip anyone but it's hard not to feel like that when you're seeing all these performance issues.

Imo its because they're trying to juggle PoE 1 and PoE 2 on this 4-month release cycle. 2 months between each major patch. Its way too much, they don't even have seperate dedicated teams for each game. They just move all people from one game to another, even in the livestream reveal for 3.27 they themselves said "we're working under a lot of deadlines". The situation seems to be pretty dire lol

So PoE 1 will probably be ignored now until next year whenever 3.28 comes out. If they even decide to acknowledge how horrible this game's performance and optimization has gotten over the years.

And if they don't have a team dedicated to optimizing all old and new content, then they should. Nobody wants to play a game that melts their PC. People with all kinds of specs from high to low-end have been complaining, the game is just bricked.

Noticed performance degradation in 3.26, but 3.27 is something else. CPU load spikes to 92-95% for like 15 seconds when i enter any map. If map has a good amount of additional content like wildwood, rituals, legions, then it can take up to 20 seconds + 10 seconds loading time.
I know my r5 3600 cpu is quite old now but no other game does that.
I swear it feels like i'm literally running cpu stress test and not a game.

Worst part that it's not much better on PCs my friends have (Ryzen 5800x and 7500f, Intel 13400f), CPU usage spikes but it doesn't choke like mine.

Something went horribly wrong in the last two leagues.

Yep I know. My loading times are similar when I enter a map to 3.26(though towns take longer now) but the Shader bar is full for a whole 1-2 minutes every map before it calms down and CPU usage for the game then goes from 60%+ down to 20%.

Meanwhile last patch entering a map only made my shader bar be full for a few seconds, something is seriously wrong with how the game is generating,storing/reading shaders. I don't know what but this is why you need a dedicated optimization team for a game lmao
