Bought Early Access but game says i don't have it

I bought early access and activated it here on the website and got a code to install on steam. Just installed the game and started it. After logging in it says I haven't purchased early access. Anyone else have this problem? Any advise is appreciated.

It looks like you may still need to link your Path of Exile account (where you applied your Early Access) to your Steam account.
