Monk's Unarmed Tempest Bell = Magikarp's Splash Attack
|
As polarizing as this topic's title is named, I will claim that it accurately describes how broken the current Skill targeting system is when using an Unarmed Monk's Tempest Bell when surrounded by a mob of monsters.
Since Tempest Bell is a skill designed to A.O.E. clear monsters, us players would expect this skill to activate as soon as we click the related Skill Button, right? However, that result does not happen in this version of POE2 (patch 0.3.1d). Instead, imagine a scenario where the the Monk player is frequently targeting the monsters with their "Tempest Bell" skill in an attempt to not become overwhelmed by their attacks, and the Tempest Bell skill hardly ever actives until the said-scenario is much too late for the player to stay out of danger. Thus, the Monk character model, attempting to cast Tempest Bell, is shown running back and forth while surrounded by mobs of monsters and reluctantly not activating the Tempest Bell skill; looking like a helpless Magikarp splashing against mob monsters. GGG, please, get this Unarmed Tempest Bell targeting/casting issue fixed because this issue is incredibly frustrating to play with. I didn't have this problem of targeting mobs with Tempest Bell while using a Quarterstaff. So, why did the GGG developer team change the Unarmed Monk's targeting mechanic of Tempest Bell that makes this skill so unreliable now? Last bumped on Nov 2, 2025, 6:43:13 PM
