Do you use Steam or Client for POE?
" Arent you being a "little" paranoid? Its no secret that steam indeed shares info with every company, but so does every browser on the market, you know... More importantly: What precious info you dont want to be leaked? Steam is just a gaming library, the only info they have is what games you play and where are you from, they dont even know the specs of your rig. They share info like where specific games and genres are more popular where. Why should i even care if people know that i bought expedition 33 a few months ago? Even if steam passes the info that you buy a lot of games, the only effect it will have is maybe google will start to show more gaming related results when you search something or youll get more gaming ads on places you were already gonna get ads Even more importantly: Its not like the info being gathered about you will make a company care about you. Nobody cares about individual accounts, companies care about the population and global numbers, you think if steam reveals to someone-whocares-who-exactly that my account was one of the 10 million that purchased DMC5 somebody will take notice of me? Besides, everyone shares info with everyone nowadays. When you buy something, ANYTHING, and it wasnt bought using paper money, that will be registered and is someone really wants to know about that transaction, they will have the info Back on topic: standalone.
