Atzoatl Map Device Visuals Broken

The tablets in the Atzoatl map device are frequently not turning red and extruding properly, making it impossible to tell how many portals you have left. In this screenshot I actually have five portals left, but it looks like I have none.

I have the same issue. I have tried every graphics setting I can to try and figure out if it's related to something, but it doesn't work no matter what I do.
