Audio tearing - Linked to poor performance?

Hello.

Other than on the then on intital release of 1.0 where performance affected many players, I have personally not really had any performance issues until this season dropped.

I can only assume I am not the only person expereincing this (well techincally I am not as my friend is also experiencing this)

Since the season launched I have suffered really really poor performance around the absyal areas with in maps. (From what I can tell so have a lot of people)

It is getting worse and worse and now has started to hard freeze my game, making my PC completely unresponsive to the point where I cant do anything and I have to hit the restart button.

I have noticed it is worse in co-op play and I tend to crash more in coop than on my own although the crashing on my own is becoming more frequent.
I thought it was likely linked to skill effects and the amount of stuff going on at anyone time

However one thing I have noticed, is all of this started out as a little bit of audio tearing (i would get 'pops' of audio cutting in and out in quick succession) during high activity with in the map here and there... namely around abys but it does happen in breaches also where there is high density.

The audio has gotten progressively worse over this last week or two and now I know when I am going to crash purely from how much 'popping' starts to happen from my explosions.
So it got me wondering if the performance issues are directly linked to the audio tearing thats going on or whether the tearing is just symptamtic of the performance issues that are present

I really hope you are already aware of this issue, as its slowly becoming more and more unplayable for me and I am really realy enjoying this season and I dont want to stop playing.

This is the only game I play that is affected and the only game that crashses my PC also.

I have my graphics settings on low and I am framed capped at 80 (all these settings were in the persuit of stability in 1.0 and I have just never changed them once I found a stable set up)
And I recently changed my audio channel in game to be low (from high) however this really hasn't changed much either.

I am running on vulcan which is still the most stable for my system right now. both direct x's crashed the PC more.

I am on a 9800x3d, Tomahawk mother board with 32gb ram and an evga 3080ti GPU if this info helps at all.
I am also running Audio purely through a headset Steel series Nova Pro wireless.
All drivers are up to date.

Another interesting thing is my friend never had the audio issue at the start of this season but is now also starting to experience it. his words were "omg now I know what you are talking about this is terrible" he is on an i9 with a 4090.

Hopefully you can get to the bottom of this sooner rather than later.

Thank you for your time.
Keep up the good work!!
