POE2 – 550 Hours In, My Thoughts & Where It Could Improve

1. Abyssal Dungeon – am I the only one annoyed that when you enter, your character just lies there waiting to stand up… and when leaving, you have to go to the map first before heading to your hideout?

2. Expedition pop-up tables – running over the map often makes me click them by accident, and then a big modifier explanation pops up shows up, blocking half the screen. Maybe its possible to disable? or is there maybe a way to hide these descriptions through the loot filter or somewhere else, and only show them when pressing a key?

3. Checkpoint markers – how many times have you accidentally clicked them while clearing a map? Or even misclicked the Map Portal in your hideout? I wish there was a way to close portals in the hideout after finishing a map, and inside maps only activate checkpoints if you’re holding ALT

4. I still don’t understand why we can’t buy a Catalyst stash tab, why there isn’t a separate tab for league materials, or why Expedition mats don’t have their own tab. The simplest solution in my opinion would be to have a stash tab similar to the bottom part of the Currency tab, where you can place whichever mats you want.

5. Probably the most frustrating part for me are the FPS drops on certain maps. I don’t remember all the names, but the farm map with corn fields is the absolute worst. My PC is decent (RTX 4070 Ti, almost everything on low settings), yet during Expedition or Abyssal Overrun I get 20–30 FPS. I also noticed something: when using the shrine with the skull (don’t recall its name), mobs die without leaving corpses, and FPS improves a lot. Honestly, I’d love to have a cosmetic (effect) like that, where everything that dies just disappears from the ground.

What do you guys think? Maybe some of these problems have simple fixes that I just don’t know about. 🙂

Regarding the league material stash tab from point 4, i think this could be really good for two reasons:

- as a way for players to experience the usefulness of a stash tab and incentivize them to buy it once the league is over (assuming the mechanic gets carried over and league materials are not integrated into existing stash tabs)

- for getting feedback and improving on the design of a stash tab. For example I saw a redesign of the gem tab on the forum where someone suggested to stack the uncut gems (by level and type) and then have only a single big window for all the "cut" gems. This would save a great amount of space, allow collecting of more gems of each level, prevent scrolling all the way down to the support gems, etc. Either way, this kind of feedback could be used to refine a potential new stash tab before the league contents are made permanent.
