What if Omen of Amelioration ACTUALLY worked like its supposed to
Now I'm down 20% exp in 5 minutes at level 95 because of this stupid bugged omen. Here's what happened.
I had exactly ONE of these omens of amelioration ACTIVE in my inventory (NO other omens in my inventory). I died in an lvl 81 Expedition Logbook because sometimes they turn ridiculously hard. The omen was consumed properly, and I lost minimal XP. Thank goodness. I said to myself, I'm probably going to die again because this expedition kind of got away from me--I must have accidentally made it so monsters can't be critically hit, and I'm a crit build. Went to Ange, bought 4 more Omens of Amelioration. I absolutely hate losing XP when dying, and I knew it was possible to die again if I reentered the expedition again. So give me more of these omens, yup. I put the newly acquired omens in my inventory, and made them ACTIVE. Then, I went back in the same expedition logbook map, I died 2 more times (I know, I'm amazing at dying, I should get gud but sometimes those runic expedition mobs just blow you up in one shot regardless of all your defences). In both of these instances, the Omen was NOT consumed even though it was active. So now I'm down the full 20% XP from that quicky, awesome. Glad I stopped what I was doing to go buy these omens from trade, for them to NOT be consumed. This is not the first time this omen hasn't worked to save XP on death, although it's the first time I've been able to identify possibly being linked with Expedition Logbooks. Happy ending, the Logbook dropped a Perfect Exalt and Annul orb. Worth? Idk, still feels like a gut punch. Last bumped on Sep 29, 2025, 4:50:06 PM
