Abyss Enemies in boss rooms

i have no idea whos idea it was to allow abyss enemies and abyss pits into boss rooms , seems like arguably the stupidest thing GGG has done to date ... i have to defeat Zahmir , the Blade Sovereign and cannot get to him without dying because i cant do anything but walk once i enter his boss room ... totally fair death ... completely makes sense that im losing exp for this right
