The Excavation Boss Bugged Out

I managed to kill the boss in The Excavation after I died via DoTs. Reviving at the checkpoint, I heard the boss calling out like they had died, but the door to the next subarea was locked off.

I could see the body of a character that should have died as a result of the scene that plays out during the death of the boss, but the door would was closed, would not open, and the area cannot be porgressed in this state without being reset.
