Trialmaster Thunderous Leap Offstage

At the start of the Trialmaster fight, I was mid thunderous leap when he "transforms" the arena.

I guess the "transformation" was actually teleporting me to a new arena, but thunderous leap remembered the original arena so I suddenly flew 100 miles in the southwest direction and ended up at the original arena and now I'm locked out of the fight.
