Very high CPU temp only with this game

I am having an issue where my 9700X gets as high as 94C during zone transitions.

When I run Prime95 or OCCT for half an hour, temps only get up to around 75C.

When I play Doom Dark Ages or Cyberpunk on max settings, temps are usually low 70s at most as well.

However, when I play Path of Exile 2, whenever I transition to a new zone, there is about a 30 second period where temps get as high as 94C and stay there for about half a minute, before suddenly bombing back down to low 70s, and then it will stay that low the rest of the zone. When I enter a new zone, repeat this process.

Is it the game or something wrong with my CPU? It does seem weird that it is *only* happening with this game (other games can push it to 80%+ load on multiple cores and still not go into the 80s) and only under a specific circumstance. I also figured stress testing my CPU with Prime95 and OCCT should show me the hottest it should ever get, assuming things are working properly. Is this the correct assumption?
