Solus Ipse Helm and Tecrod's Revenge with Companions don't work

I've been trying to get double Tecrod's Revenge on Infernal Minion Companions and it's not possible to use two copies of the Lineage support gem (different beast skills), when the sole purpose of the helm is allowing just it.
