Trial of Chaos: Bypassing the elevator on entry bricks the entire trial.

I was at a "kill them all" stage and thought I'd be stylish and bypass the elevator down with the ability "escape shot" - yeah that looked very cool, doing a backflip onto the arena, except now all the enemies are invulnerable and I can't get back up.

After logging out and logging into my hideout, then returning to the trial, it says that the trial "has already begun" and cannot be joined. I guess the backflip bricked it, bummer.
