4-5 minute startup time for game on Steam

The startup time for the game has been steadily increasing since league launch. It now takes between 4 and 5 minutes to open the game once "Play" is clicked in Steam, and this doesn't happen for any other game I own. I run the game through Steam, installed on an SSD. I am also having regular client crashes (every hour or so). Although I understand this is already a known issue, I am including this information here in case it is relevant.
