About the uncut support gems sorting problem.

In POE 1 I have several gem stash tabs, one for red gems, one for blues, one for greens, another for Vaal gems, another for awakened, etc. I like to sort things neatly (anal retentive?)

Anyway, when my tabs from POE 1 got transferred to POE 2, I wondered what to do with all those gem tabs, so I assigned one tab for uncut skill, one for uncut support, one for uncut spirit, one for skill gems, one for support, and a couple others for other gems I like to keep separate for quick access.

Now, for the problem: all my tabs are set to sort by Gem Level. All tabs sort properly except for the uncut support gems. So I set that to sort by Rank so that they will sort properly. When I check the other gem tabs, I see that some of them get set to sort by Rank, which causes them to be lumped together as level 1 gems just like the uncut support gems do when sorted by Gem Level.

So I experimented: I set all the tabs to sort by Gem Level, and all sorted correctly except the uncut support gems, which all sorted as level one.

Then I set all the tabs to sort by Rank, and all the tabs sorted all gems as level one except for the uncut support gems which sorted correctly by gem level.

Now I spent several years as a computer programmer (COBOL, RGP, a bit of assembly here and there, etc.) So I can say with some certainty that a trigger in the uncut support gems sorting algorithm managed to get set backwards so that it sorts by gem level when set to Rank and by rank when set to Gem Level.

I hope this helps to get that straightened out eventually. I realize I tend to be overly wordy; I suppose that comes from my years spent as a high school and later a college instructor.

Oops. I got one thing wrong in the above: the uncut support gems and the support gems both fail to sort. Instead, all gems in both categories are lumped at level 1. So I now set all gem tabs to sort by Gem Level except the Uncut Support Gems and the Support Gems which are set to sort by rank. Now all my tabs are properly sorted. One question though: in the Support Gems tab I now have Rank 1, Rank 2, and Lineage. Not real sure what Linage means, but at least everything sorts correctly now.
