Constant Hard Crashes

The game is constantly hard crashing for me. This is not a system spec issue, my hardware is easily enough to run the game with the settings I have chosen.

Yesterday, between 9:41am and 11:14am I had 5 hard crashes, many which caused the lost of maps, progress etc...

So far this morning as I post this, from 7:30am to 8:44am, I have had 3 hard crashes.

If I can provide any system info, event logs etc, please advise.

This issue is crazy. I did not have this issue prior to Dawn of the Hunt.

Please GGG, I just want to be able to PLAY this game.

it crashes a whole lot but at least it pauses while it crashes i guess ;)
i cannot count the amount of times i crashed by now but it never killed me.
Yep, on day 25 of game freezes and crashes every 15-20 minutes.

The ONLY thing I have found that worked for me, which I discovered the other day worked (and I have tried EVERYTHING on the internet to try to fix this issue) was to TURN OFF Engine Multithreading in Game Options > Graphics.

Turning off this setting has stopped the freezes/crashes. Didn't crash for two straight days (14 hours played?). The major downside though, is that by turning OFF multithreading, my FPS tanked from 80-90 FPS to about 20-25 FPS, even while standing still in hideout. Borderline unplayable, and definitely not FUN. And while in combat, especially vs. abyss mobs, forget about it...was like 10 FPS max.

I suspect that turning off this setting is BAD for the gpu/cpu, but so far, it is the ONLY thing that has stopped the crashes 100%. I turned back ON multithreading yesterday as a test, and crashed twice in one hour. Today 2 more crashes, but obviously the FPS is way more playable with multithreading ON. I will say it is not as bad as two weeks ago though, where I was crashing 6 times an hour or more, and just had to give up.
I have been having the exact same issues. I have tried downgrading drivers on for my 9070 XT but this is not resolved the issue. The one thing I have done is turn off my under volt to my graphics card and this seems to have resolved the issue. However, having tested my under again through multiple different stress tests it remains perfectly stable and I have no other problems in any other gangs. Something in the most recent patch has really messed things up and I suspect it’s the graphical changes because what I’m getting is a driver reset. This is the same for both 25.9.1 and 25.8.1.. I was under the impression that my graphics card was at maximum fan speed but having just stress test it at maximum temperatures it’s almost silent.

It turns out that the CPU load at the moment is so high that it’s tanking my FPS from a stable 120 frames per second down to 30. What are the major downsize to this game as the moment is a total lack of optimisation for performance? There are people with 5080s and 4080s and they are reporting the same issues? This is not a hardware problem but absolutely an issue with the game and its current state. I’m really hoping that something is done to resolve these issues before lunch but the same issues existed. POE one when running heavily juice maps and I’m concerned that this is she may go on resolved.

I would add that I had run this under volt throughout the entirety of the initial launch of POE two and up into the most recent patch. The 0.3.0 C hot fix two seems to be the culprit but cannot figure out why this is happening both in Vulcan and direct X 12 I suspect on further testing tomorrow when I have more time the game will crash even without an under volt.
As i post this it is almost 3pm and have been playing since 7:30am.

Have had 14 hard crashes so far.... this is simply beyond a joke now...

Tried disabling multithreading as someone mentioned in this thread, but dropping from 144fps capped to 50-60 is just not playable.
