[POE2] [ACT IV] Confront Kanu, game breaking bug?

Hey!

This is my first time posting here, so apologies if I missed an existing thread on this.

I’m currently in Act IV, Excavation, during “The Search” quest. Just after defeating the first boss in that area (Benedictus) with a delayed grenade, he managed to kill me at the same time. When I respawned at the checkpoint, I saw Benedictus's death animation play out, but the path to the next area never unlocked.

As a result, I’m soft-locked and unable to progress further in the campaign. The quest log still says: “Confront Kanu and the First Herald.”

Same thing happened to me. Wasn't paying attention after I dealt the finishing blow and an AOE killed me.

Same here. Died right after killing him and now I am softlocked. Another season, another disappointment.

Same problem here, i even tried to reset the instance by many ways, and when i enter the area after a reset, i see the boss desapearing and the area never opens... theres any fix already?
