Temple of Chaos Multiplayer soft lock

It's possible to have one person walk onto the platform in the Temple of Chaos, and accidentally leave the other player behind. I'm running a support build which means this softlocked our Temple of Chaos run.

I'm seeing now that there's a switch that looks like it would actuate that platform, on the upper level. It was a bit away from the platform so neither of us saw it, and there was no switch on the lower level like I know exists for the exit platforms. I feel like a lower level switch would be good to have here as well.
