Herald of blood and ghost dance seem to have stopped working

i had a level 5 herald of blood equipped a level 7 ghost dance and neither seems to be working. im level 28 acolyte of chayula/monk and i took inner turmoil for my first two ascension points. i have checked several times it not a stats problem. my chest peice has the +30 spirit needed for using both.

so i switch weapon sets and this seems to have worked
