Leecher meta is healthy for the game?

Just make a tanky build and follow the gigachad around while collecting the trash he doesn't want? That's what has been getting yall going? Peak gameplay lmao

GGG... seriously, do something about that, start by nerfing item rarity (i love item rarity but ffs, people dropping 10 divines per map WTH). Maybe only nerf it at the higher tier, by adding a curve, like after 100% increase it starts to have diminishing returns. This way it won't affect normal players who like to get some item rarity for their maps.

Remove that item which lets people stack 500% item rarity & spreads to the whole party if they are close.

Enforce the gameplay so that everyone has to be near and fight the monsters (and kill some at least, which requires minimal damage) to gain exp and for the loot quantity/rarity bonus to apply.

It's a bit sad, but whelp, i guess i will start spamming general chat so i can also enjoy a few leechers boosting my map.

Important, seems like some don't realize: people will get bored by playing afk/idle follower and they will leave the game, leagues will collapse faster.

This is a thing since first day of 0.1, and yea I think there has to be a change to how party works. Especially because of bots

Play for fun and coop not because loot.

what do you mean "leecher meta" in every aspect there are people who carry on trade. people asking for leechers are carrying xp in return for the party bonus. not everyone wants to do it because it is not that fun. if you want to suck the fun out of your game to carry some people's xp for more currency, go for it.

and why is rarity being mentioned? quantity and currency is what you get from party, and it's kinda necessary to "have fun" when people are not leeching

feels like you just saw some messages in chat and got upset or maybe you followed a leecher around and got salty you weren't allowed to loot

I wouldn't complain, with that said, i've played the game with over 50% item rarity on gear all the time and it was a great leveling experience.
Diminishing returns would work wonders.

Trust me when i say killing stuff and being powerful is the most important and fun part of the game, and people are letting it go in exchange for a bit of "efficiency", even if it can be a little bit fun, they will get bored of the game way faster and leave.

Are you talking about people putting rarity on their characters instead of other affixes? They are getting more powerful, by better balancing their characters with gear that has space for rarity affixes thus making more currency

Is it not kinda just a issue with yourself or unwillingness to grind if you don't want to get like a couple of good rings with rarity?

Kinda the same thing with the carries, carrying xp is tedious you have to babysit a bunch of PoE players, imagine that. If you don't wanna do it, then don't. Very few people do.

Stop comparing yourself to other players and just enjoy your own experience. If you feel it's not rewarding enough, maybe look at what other people who do not carry xp do.

i have rarity on my gear, i like it, but there is an item that lets you "spread" your item rarity bonus to other players, then, they stack up to 500% item rarity on it, then, they go play with someone with a strong and fast clear build that rushes through maps, then they drop multiple divines in minutes, there are videos of it. <<< This is destroying the economy, encourages botting and afk/idle gameplay.

Check it on youtube etc ;) google "poe 2 500% item rarity group"

The thing with rarity is that its so busted that not making your character entirely around rarity affixes on every item they can be, is to waste your time. Eventually your 200h char feels like you are being trolled by GGG.

That's wild I've literally never given a single shit about rarity on my gear and I've had more fun with PoE2 than any game in the last 20 years. Crazy how different people can be with what they get enjoyment from.
