Omen of recombination not being lucky? after 0.3.0.c patch
Before the patch:
With Omen of Recombination (which should make the recombination Lucky and effectively double the odds), the expected chance should be around 32–34%. That matched my earlier tests pretty well: roughly 1 in 3 attempts succeeded. After the 0.3.0c patch I started noticing REALLY bad luck. I tracked 100 attempts after 0.3.0c, and here’s what I saw: Base chance: 15.99%–16.33% from recombining +3 projectile skills and t3 spirit. With Omen of Recombination: expected result ~32%, so 1 success every 3 attempts, but I only got 13 successes out of 100 recombinations. Maybe I'm just unlucky? But this seems way off, so I ran a probability check When calculated, this probability is < 0.01% (roughly 1 in 10,000). This suggests a really bad rng, or either: A shadow nerf to Omen of Recombinator after 0.3.0c, or A bug that prevents the Omen from actually doubling odds anymore. Agreed. I had similar results with 0.7% probability in the long run over all my trials. Something definitely changed.

Can confirm, I also had notably worse recombinations than earlier in the league.
I just had 35 failures at 8% in a row. It's a 0.29% chance of that happening with the omen active, 5.4% without the omen, or 79% if the omen is bugged and flipped the luck. Could just be bad RNG, but it feels like such a wild swing. Is there any log to see what numbers were rolled or a way to validate the omen actually being applied (apart from it being consumed). Any other info from peeps? |
