GGG which lane are you on: Mindless Blasting or "Visceral" combat

"

The complete hands off post-league launch approach during a OPT IN early access is the most baffling thing I've seen in 30 years of gaming.

its so they can sell supporter packs

If they make frequent changes instead of big patches they wont sell as many supporter packs than 1 big patch every 4 months
Yes!
Please GGG read this post, think about it and hopefully act upon it. It is very well written and addresses a bunch of really good points.

They could make frequent balance and feature patches, but 4-month content patches with their supporter packs an such...

That was why a bunch of us closed beta supporters started playing poe 1 in the first place.

D3 came out and we didn't like it. We were looking for a successor to D2, and poe 1, at the time, looked like it. It was very promising.

Game started out slow and methodical. You had to hover over monsters from a distance back in the day to see their mods before approaching them or you would die if you just rushed in. Yes that meant you needed to know what monster mods were.

Zones weren't packed with 10000000s monsters. It was more quality monsters than quantity. Small packs of monsters at a time.

Those were the fun days of poe 1 imo.

And then CoC came and RainbowNuke after it. People hyped it. Boom. Another anime game for Chinese.
Neden yaşıyorsun?
I have to admit that I finished much faster in this league with my character.

Overall, very enjoyable crafting.

Nice Act 4.

Finally, a normal trade.

However, if GGG continues to lie about this engaging combat, I think they'll lose a lot of players at some point. As a POE veteran, I think this entire endgame should be removed and remade. It's a failed copy of POE 1 with crappy Zoom Zoom.
APRGs as a genre cannot have slow "visceral" combat, it's antithetical to the entire genre. Blasting at the speed of sound is the entire point and there's nothing that can possibly be done to change that when the whole point is a nearly endless progression of your character.

Nothing, even low drop rates, feels as antithetical to character progression as slow ass combat and huge pointless zones

Maybe it's as you say, but it's clear they're cutting corners.

This whole endgame thing is, so to speak, written in haste.

Instead of slowly focusing on completing the acts properly, fixing game problems, bugs, exploits, and releasing new classes.

They're unnecessarily forcing this supposed endgame where balance has gone to hell.

For what???

I don't really now...

I do, they got scared of the negative reviews LE got for their "lack of endgame" from the same monkeys. And so they've scrapped together an endgame to address that prior to launch. A gut reaction, if you ask me, which they shouldn't have given in to.
"Sigh"

Maybe thats what you understand by ARPG. Imo it can also mean slow and visceral combat. I don't feel any action in the current PoE2 endgame, maxbe you do - but that just means what you want of an ARPG is different to what I want.

Also you can have slow combat AND character progression AND appropriate loot you know? Nobody here wants a ruthless mode with shitty droprates and just 10x life on everything I would think.

No you can not.

Im thinking about making a new thread just to hammer in this fact to you guys, exposing the logical fallacies in such a view.

It is like asking for a nice ski resort, with alot of natural snow, in a warm desert so you can both ski and enjoy walking around in the considerable heat. One demands warmth, the other cold.

here it easy to see the problem, right? But you are all blind to the problem to combine slow combat AND character progression AND appropriate loot. here the problem is even worse, and the conflict larger.
