Ornate Plate cannot be equipped on Smith of Kitava

Hi. Like in title I cannot equip Ornate Plate with only implicit attribute on my Smith of Kitava with Smith's Masterwork skill. I used orb of annulment on Armour with 1 attribute, perhaps that's the issue

You can't make a normal item with an orb of annulment. Your armour is still magic.
