help upgrade essence POE2

I have essence tab and i click upgrade button, then i click on essences and nothing happens.
I dislike rarity so much im almost quitting poe2. GGG. Last bumped on Sep 13, 2025, 10:53:16 AM

essences can't be upgraded in PoE2
/edit: well I never tried to upgrade lower tier essences, so maybe they can. Only remembered Mark say that u can't during livestream, so maybe he was talking about perfect. Well then there should be no button.

I presume the upgrade cost is 3 to 1 ?

It should work in the bench at least, the one where you put in three items. Not tried it myself yet, cause I don't have three of one essence type yet. They're scarce!
