[0.4 BUFFS] Permafrost Bolts Tactician League Starter and Endgame Guides
" I am not the guy who told you you are glass cannon. Do not disrespect me with putting your max-hit screen shot, I have checked your build days ago and I am completely aware of both its offensive and defensive capabilities. All I care to know is how many times you died from start to end. Out of personal, selfish interest. Call it curiosity if you want. Everything else is dead clear to me. If you do not want to post it here, send me a message. I wont disclose the number you give me. |

" Probably close to a thousand deaths. I use T1 Xesht as a test dummy to test build changes, ailment application, freeze buildup, etc. so it's an entirely pointless metric in this context. Kind of odd how you missed that after doing such a deep dive. It's mentioned early in the thread. That aside, I also do not see the point in asking for such a one-dimensional number. As an experienced player of both games, this isn't something I would ever ask about when evaluating a build. Instead, I provided you with information that actually has value. from very early in the thread: ![]() another batch of tests for something else: ![]() and my thread regarding the topic: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile2builds/comments/1nseb5n/freeze_testing_data_t1_xesht Later went on to assist the primary steward of PoB2 a bit more, requiring yet more deaths. thanks for bumping! I told you I already evaluated your build quite a while ago.
And from your first reply, I understood that you consider this pointless and one dimensional. I am not planning to argue with you about it, or try to convince you in the opposite. But I would really like to know exact number. |

Im running immobilization tactician (got spear and bow versions). You might want to check Sine Aequo, it gots INSANE buff in 0.4 patchlog and seems total goat for this kind of build.

" Haven't verified 100% yet, but consuming freeze happens before the damage registers, so the result is that the Vs Frozen hit from Fragmentation Rounds doesn't actually benefit from freeze-related immobilization bonuses. It's similar to shock, in that the hit that shocks doesn't also benefit from the shock it applies. edit: tested a bit using Frozen Spite. It's still a bit iffy, but I'm leaning more towards Vs Frozen actually counting the damage with the immobilized status applied. Last edited by heckbacon#7226 on Dec 6, 2025, 7:47:03 PM

" 1/ i thought you run pin, its weird to see nonbalista tactician that dont use it, especialy if you spec to immobilization 2/ freeze should be removed on hit (or atleast at the end of calculation), skill clearly states "consume freeze on hit" which means damage calculation happens against frozen target. Its same mechanic Snap use. 3/ another big deal with sine aequo is "Immobilise enemies at 50% buildup instead of 100%", which effectively doubles all immobilization buildups. Not only it helps alot with freezing bosses, if you have multiple immobilization effects (like easily achievable pin, or electrocute) you can effectively stunlock every enemy. Its very strong, but it was overlooked cuz of big damage penalty that is being turned to damage bonus in 0.4 Last edited by DwaneDibbley#4615 on Dec 7, 2025, 4:15:11 AM

" 1/no. not really weird at all. freeze is a type of immobilization. The opportunity cost of including pin doesn't make sense. 2/yes, that is clearly stated. I'm aware. unfortunately, the wording is ambiguous. Do you have a source on when the damage actually registers. 3/It's also trash defensively. I don't think it's worth using on this build. |

Updated moba with the 0.4 guide. working on ironing out some difficulties with displaying unique jewels on their website. Best bet is to open the guide in PoB until then.
