Fetid Pool worst quest ever
I honestly don't see the problem.
Trouble with Rhoas? Leave the quest for a time when they won't be able to kill you, it is optional after all. Trouble with finding remaining enemies? Use a totem, or some summons to locate them. Map markers for remaining enemies is a terrible idea, the game doesn't need dumbing down, it never results in anything good, which countless examples over the last years had proved. I don't see any problem with this quest either. Is optional, and well, sometimes it ends with 1-2 mobs-finding, but is not a big deal because the map is small, and you can think on the spots that they could be. Also you can hear them. This game don't need to be so soft in my opinion.

" The fact that so many players completely skip the quest until they actually need respec points (often dozens of levels after the fact) should be a problem in and of itself. The game should be providing intriguing reasons to level as you go along, and not reasons to metagame areas much lower than you for disproportionate benefit. I have no issue with the Fetid Pool quest, but like a lot of quests in the game, the rewards could be rebalanced. |

If you don't really find the last mob and can't be bothered to search exhaustively, maybe it's faster to restart the instance?
I kind of like the quest, even if it has a big lot of the problematic sudden damage spikes + stunlock. You have a very dangerous enemy in groups (rhoa) to deal with. Worse, they are undead and there is a unique necromancer reviving them that can't be instagibbed (high hp from being unique). So it forces you to use anti-rhoa tactics plus anti-necro tactics on a long and tactical battle different from the typical gearcheck. |

you actually have to work to finish a quest? OH NO! nerf it!

" You have a point there, I also skip it until I need those points, but thats another problem that we can call "under-abyssal-rewarding game" (not only some quest but heavier areas, like itemization/gambling-crafting, build diversity, etc). Indeed, I mostly skip all the optional quests since I already leveled a lot of new chars, the most interesting ones are those that involve skill points, and respec when needed. ♠RaGoN♦

Use a spiral pattern. Thorough and methodical. Works like a charm.
Compared to back when games made you draw your own maps and sometimes, SOMETIMES made deal with red herrings, the Fetid Pool is child's play. 'Worst quest ever'...what, in PoE? Maybe, but I'd say The Way Forward is more troublesome and, unrelated to quests, I'll do the Fetid Pool over trying to find the fucking sewers in Slums anyday. Worst quest in ARPGs? Not bloody likely. In games overall? LOL. Hyperbole is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

Its really not that bad man, just kill everything in a clean way, i usually kill the exterior first then i do the interior twards the lake, dont really have problems with monsters getting left behind

I consider this quest as an honor to diablo's II den of evil.

Yeah, terrible quest. It's one thing to have it in a confined series of pathways, but in a wide open area it's just annoying.
