No Citadel Maps After 500+ Maps (at least)

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this issue. I’ve been running over 500 maps while progressing my Atlas, but I haven’t encountered a single Citadel map so far. This seems very unusual and is blocking my Atlas progression.

I’m starting to think it might be a bug, because without Citadel maps I can’t move forward and cannot obtain my map boss skill points.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Any advice or confirmation would be really appreciated.

Edit: I’m currently playing in the Rise of the Abyssal league (level 95 deadeye). I haven’t experienced this problem in any of the previous leagues.

Only quest I have is the Pinnacle of the flame. No citadels appearing for me either.

I had the same problem, I went like 5-6 screens away from the start to couple directions and couldn't find a single citadel.
I started using grand projects to explore faster and found the first one couple screens away from start in the opposite direction. I think they spawn in clusters which makes them spawn only in one direction from start and not all around the Atlas.

used several grand projects and didnt help.
