Stormweaver is ruined – I’m about to quit

I really don’t understand why Stormweaver had to be nerfed this hard. The damage is pathetic, mapping feels miserable, bossing is impossible, and the passive tree offers nothing useful to support it. It feels like this archetype has been completely abandoned. Stormweaver used to be one of my favorite classes, but now it’s unplayable. Compared to other options, it’s by far the weakest and most frustrating. At this point, I honestly feel like quitting the game because of how bad this nerf is. And what’s the point if only a few meta classes are playable? Everyone will just end up playing the same builds over and over again. That’s not the kind of game I want to play, and I won’t stick around if this continues. Please don’t let this class die. Give Stormweaver some love and balance it properly. Yeah. I had a pretty decent time with stormweaver in the campaign, but goddamn is mapping a miserable experience. I played it in 0.1 and it was a great experience. I used Ghostwrithe tatter as body armor, with Eldritch battery, MoM, Arch and Choas inoculation
Now? Nothing works. If you try using Arch you are permanently oom, if you try using MoM you are permanently oom, if you try using Eldrich battery you are permanently oom. Using them all combined? One spark and you are oom. And all that while putting like 15 ppoints into mana regen. Ghostwrithe Tatters, one of the few decent uniques, has also been completely gutted. Surveivability is completely in the shitter. I was able to do t3/t4 pinacles with my endgame build in 0.1 on stormweaver. Now I am fucking kiting white mobs in low level maps because they bitch slam me around while I am permanently out of mana if I don't put at least 15 points into mana regen. It's miserable. It's frustrating. It's simply no fun. |

Yeah at this point the only thing that could potentially excite me about 0.4 is fixing the mess that they turned Sorc into.
If this is the direction they're pushing the game then I'm out. |

Honestly think you guys are overreacting.
Yes Stormweaver is harder than it was in 0.1 I also had a blast in 0.1 with spark and EB, MoM, Arch and CI On the other hand it was a no-brainer and way way way over tuned Then came 0.2 and i thought they murdered anything about the whole interaction Triple or Quadruple nerfed it into the ground. At least so I thought (didn't play Stormweaver in 0.2 so can't confirm or deny) But now in 0.3 I tried it out again (although not as my first char) and I'm having a blast. Most gear is quite affordable because not many are playing Stormweaver and I'm currently at T15 and just cruising through. And yes its again MoM, EB, Arch and CI. The whole package. This time with Arc and Archon etc. Yes they nerfed Arcane Surge, but its still good and fun and you are practically unkillabe when you have good gear. (Also saying you don't want to allocate Mana regen is like saying you don't want to care about Resistances, It is literally life regen with MoM) Its not as easy as in 0.1 but its perfectly viable and not unplayable. The only thing, which I hope they fix at some point at least, is that with CI you have a stun and ailment threshold of 1 and thus are super dependent on keeping your distance and charms, because every single hit stuns you and you just get stun-locked as soon as a Mob has high enough attack speed. |

What's your problem with Stormweaver? The ascendancy itself could probably use some numeric buffs within the ascendancy itself. But the infusion mechanic is extremely fun. You just need to build correctly and have good infusion generation.

Im still doing fine at lvl 79. Why do you say bosses are impossible? What skills are you using?
