can't portal out of abyssal depth in Sandswept Marsh (first act 3 area before town unlock)

It's pretty much what the title says. When in the abbyssal depth in Sandswepth Marsh you can place a portal inside, but it has no town name above it and you can't use it to teleport out. You have to run back to the beginning of the depth, go out that way, then portal to your stash in the beginning of the area when back in the map itself.
This is before the act 3 town is unlocked.
