Eroding Chains with Artillery Ballista for full armor break (2 bugs)

bug 1: I am using the Eroding Chains and increases to armor break to get Artillery ballista to fully break armor. It works on everything except on bosses the broken armor icon goes away almost immediately.

bug 2: Fully breaking armor with the above method does not proc armor explosion.


Edit and update: It's explosive shot consuming the armour.

I can confirm, it doesn't work for me either.
I'm using Tactician with the "Right Where We Want Them" Ascendancy node to build Pin. I currently have 110% increased armor break in the tree. Pinning an enemy breaks their armor as expected, but the effect immediately disappears if I hit them with a new attack.

Why would explosive shot consume armor break? I am having this exact issue currently as well. Please help me understand
Because it is bugged.
Oh cool.... Love when random bugs neuter a build that I thought was cool and non-mainstream =D

I did see in another post that they're looking into it, however. SO I have some *slight* hope it might be fixed.... But yeah this particular bug is kinda nerfing my build hardcore. Because not just do I use armor break from pinning, but I also have the node that makes armor break do MORE and also apply to fire damage, and I'm using mortar cannon + explosive grenade. So essentially broken armor amplifies all my damage by idk, 35% or so? and it's not working 90% of the time :(

HOWEVER. Is explosive shot *detonating* the armor break and dealing damage with that detonation? If so, there's a weird slight chance that this bug is actually helping us, if it's causing even more explosions than normal. It's certainly worse for rares/bosses, but better for clearing the trash.
Bumping this, explosive shot seems to be consuming the Fully Broken Armour debuff for no reason. This along side the rounding issues with Eroding chains and +100% increased armour break not fully breaking all armour is pretty detrimental to this setup.
