Revoked access from poe2 due to predatory GGG
|
Just like many others, I have access to PoE2 through gamesharing on the PlayStation 5. PlayStation has a feature where you can share game licenses with your other account or even a friend's account. After playing 2 seasons of PoE2 and buying multiple microtransactions, my access to PoE2 has now been revoked! Apparently, after the free weekend, they decided to sneak in a hidden update that removed the license to play the game for me and many others. I contacted support about the issue, and they responded by telling me to rebuy the game. This is a completely predatory act by GGG and blatantly makes zero sense. You put your game on the PlayStation Store, and players bought said game and utilized Sony's features. Now you're revoking access because "it wasn't intended" without an official statement surrounding the subject. I don't understand how a company can shoot itself in the foot like GGG just did.

" How is it predatory for them to have sincerely not known about a feature? " Not you, apparently. " Well, I don't understand why you think people contributing to server costs without contributing to revenue are so valuable that GGG are "shoot[ing] themselves in the foot". Want to play the game? Buy it. If not, there's plenty of other games out there. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

I completely agree with LorYosh! It’s ridiculous that they would revoke my access after spending money on micro transactions I game share with my other account and now I have to buy the game two times? Congratulations GGG you lost. A loyal microtransaction customer over $30…

" I'd suggesting emailing them to ask for a refund of MTX you no longer have access to due to this if don't plan on buying the game. Their email address is support@grindinggear.com. So, it’s no longer a bug? But in the game info on PS5 it states that ‘console sharing’ can be used, this is listed in the feature notes of POE 2 on PS5.

Look if your gonna release on consoles and you dont do your homework on the features of the console your releasing on you have no one to blame but yourself. Ggg made a bad mistake revoking that on consoles

I didn’t understand your comment, my friend. I’ve had the game since it was released, I bought it, and in the rules for console and streaming it says that the game can be shared. In fact, on the PS5 info sheet it says that it can be shared between accounts, and like I said, I’ve had the game since launch without any problems, and my family members can play on my console with their personal accounts. But apparently, right now that the 2 free days ended, something happened to that option. Honestly, I think it might be an issue that GGG isn’t aware of. The truth is, the people at GGG are very good with their players and it’s possibly just an error, I don’t think it’s something they planned. We’ll have to wait and see what they say, and if the game can no longer be shared, at least they should let us know. I’ll keep playing, I’m very happy with the game and the update. |

Same issue here... So I have to buy it again? (Secondary account of the playstation, we bought it on the main one because we always do that way and the main account doesn't even play it, it was for me...)
Or should we wait a little bit that they confirm it or not? |
