Graphics Artifacting bug affecting all screens/menus
Hello,
Since yesterday I have encountered a weird bug that so far happened when interacting with: Abysses, Wisps (Act 1) and my passive skill tree. There is massive amounts of glitched textures/artefacing appearing on the screen, sometimes in very bright rainbow flashing other times black flashing. The passive skill tree, chat many inventory items, and minimap appear to bug out and display noisy, pink/rainbow textures instead of what they should be. Its not consistently reproducible at the moment, I am unaware what is causing this. I have updated to the latest drivers for my GTX 1060 and have not had this issue in 0.2. I have had issues due to VRAM limitation prior but this is new. Ironically, this greatly improves my framerate (although Ice particles from Shattering still drop ~30-40 fps when many enemies shatter). It would be very nice to get an optimization/setting out of this as graphical fidelity is not mandatory personally. Bug Report ID: #2093253801 and #887946760 (I typed bug twice thinking there was more info in the clipboard) ![]() Last edited by AgentSpooks#1780 on Aug 30, 2025, 3:18:35 PM Last bumped on Sep 23, 2025, 3:23:29 PM

I have discovered that this occurs on the Vulkan renderer whereas DirectX12 suffers more severe issues loading assets from disk than in 0.2 (constant 160-200 MB/s access during areas) im presuming caused by the same issue.

Reverting the nvidia driver for my GTX 1060 to before August 28 has not fixed the issue.

Do you play on Steam and have tried to repair the data files?
Or with the standalone client: How to run a Pack Check? (it's also the same for POE2) | |
" I play through steam. Do you mean verifying the game files? I have done this and it did not fix the issue, the bug occured in the fight with the dread engineer in the mines in act2. Do you mean something other than verifying local files? |

I have attempted to manually reset my drivers through windows by using the CTRL+SHIFT+WINDOWS+B hotkey at someone's recommendation from the global chat who seemed to describe the same issue, but it does not fix the bug once it occurs. At this point I think this is an issue introduced this patch.
Here is another example of the bug (the screen is black in the actual game area). ![]() |

Updating to show new screenshots of the issue when using Vulkan.
This time i noticed that the artefacting differs based on the image quality preset used. ![]() ![]() |

Hello, I am replying to note that the latest 0.3 hotfix as of writing (hotfix 3) did not fix this issue, but this time the screen also turned fully black.
