Crash after login on character load

More threads with the same issue: 3830707, 3830617, 3831032 which describes the same problem with more affected accounts.

similar to what others are saying - if you are on PC and you press "log in" then just spam the up-arrow to change selection focus to a different character then it should no longer check for that file. if you only have one character and no others to select using this method i can't confirm if it'll work.

i can confirm deleting cache, verifying game files, and reinstalling did nothing for me.
