Crash after login on character load

Game crashes after logging in and loading characters.
Error from log: Failed to load type "Metadata/Items/Armours/Shields/Uniques/MeritOfService/MeritOfServiceHeld.ao" Exception: "Metadata/Items/Armours/Shields/Uniques/MeritOfService/MeritOfServiceHeld": Error: Metadata/Items/Armours/Shields/Uniques/MeritOfService/MeritOfServiceHeld.ao is non-virtual and does not have a physical file Verified game files twice, obviously. Didn't help. Anyone else having this problem? PS. Did the obvious thing and looked for the file in said location. There isn't even a folder Uniques under shields. So, there is that. Same thing happens to me.
1. Start Game 2. Log In 3. Select my character, which has the "Merit of Service" shield equipped. 4. Same thing happend to my friend, he tried to verify inetgrity, no problems found and now is reinstalling whole game. It seems game file of that unique is corrupt, not sure if that(reinstalling) would fix it.

The thing is: the game file doesn't even exist.

The same thing just happened to a friend and he doesn't even have the shield equipped.
Maybe those assets are bundled, not in folders |

Same error for me, I tried everything, verifying game files did nothing. Re-install did nothing. Deleting everything in appdata did nothing, changing gatways did nothing.
It's literally preventing people from playing the game. :( |

I tried through Steam and GGGs download launcher, thinking maybe it's a Steam issue but nope.... same story every time. :/
Please GGG fix it :( It's a fatal error we can't play... |

Hey, I’m having the same issue – I had Merit of Service in version 0.1 (the last time I played), and now when the game goes to character selection, it automatically crashes as soon as it tries to load the character preview
