Continuous Sprint controller issue

When letting go of dodge and keeping sprinting (idk what its called) it doesnt recognize a dodge roll to stop the sprint, you need another action or stop to cancel the sprint. Pressing the dodge button does nothing char just happily keeps sprinting.
