Selfless Remnants Support doesn't function

Not sure if this is specific to just "Into the Breach", but with Selfless Remnants equipped, Leech and purple Flames of Chayula buffs still go to the player.

1. Get "Into the Breach" node of Acolyte of Chayula
2. Socket a "Selfless Remnants support"
3a. Cast a spell a lot and see that blue flames still grant mana leech.
3b. Collecting purple flames still allocates them to the player.
3c. Take damage and see that red flames still grant life leech.

Unsure if the answer is that if there are no allies in the area that the support doesn't take effect; I was using entirely temporary minions (Ravenous Swarm, Raging Spirits, Unearth minions) that likely should have received the buff.

I play in a group with a total of 3 players and have stepped into the breach with the support of selfless remnants. No one but me receives the buffs from the Chayula Flames. Support Gem doenst work as intented
