Locked out of the game after Portal back to Abyssal Depths from Town while in Party

Step to reproduce/What happened:
- Step 1: Jump into the Abyssal Depths (AD) as a Party (3 in my case)
- Step 2: Portal back to Town (Act 2 - 2 guys portal back in my case)
- Step 3: Portal to the AD
-> Area was loaded, was able to move for a few secs, then got DCed. (happened to 2 guys whom portal back to town)
-> Since then, got disconnected every time trying to load into the Area
-> It has been more than 30mins and the game is still placing us into the AD, which essentially made the character inaccessible

Please help!

What happens if you change to a different gateway?

Same thing happened the game still kick me out to the logging screen

Were you able to access the character after all?

Just happened to me as well. Made a portal from Abyssal Depths with the intention of dropping off loot and coming back, when I clicked the portal it disconnected me to the login screen. After logging in and attempting to go online with a character, I get the Abyssal Depths loading screen and "An unexpected disconnection occurred" message.

Unfortunately we may very well have to wait a sufficient time for the instance to clear and our character be relocated to town/hideout.

So much for my waystone.

Edit: ***SOLUTION***

In the character selection screen, hold Ctrl on keyboard and left click your character's portrait tab, I had to click 3 times but a prompt will open asking if you want to teleport your character to the nearest town. Click yes. I was able to then go online as my character again, and I was even able to re-enter my map.

Unfortunately I was unable to go back into the Abyssal Depths "Failed to join instance because: You cannot rejoin this area after leaving."
