question about merchant/premium tabs for poe 2

if i converted normal tab to premium tab can i convert then that premium tab to merchant tab? or you can only convert premium tabs you bought directly as premium tabs?

I think this should be possible, for your now existing normal stash tabs.
From the announcement: When will the Merchant’s Tab be available in the store? Merchant's Tabs will be available for purchase in the Path of Exile 2 shop once The Third Edict releases this Friday. You will also have the option to convert Premium Stash Tabs purchased prior to the 0.3.0 release. Premium Stash Tabs purchased after 0.3.0 release cannot be converted. Be aware that after the release converting a normal stash tab into a premium stash tab also will be impossible, probably. relax - it's just ones and zeros!

I bought 5 udgrade, it won't let me convert them to Merchant Tabs.

Well i own 2 or 3 of those upgraded,basically they are useless since i cant convert them.so i wasted at launch the points on them so now i have to buy points again to buy the tabs.. so those premium tabs are what now,normal tabs?

It's odd to say the least.
Most old players like me have bought their stash tabs before premium tabs were even a thing. Naturally, if you bought like 30+ of them you weren't going to buy premium ones but instead just went with the upgrades. I'm guessing it's because you can upgrade the 4 free default stash tabs? |

No to be scummy you can only convert premium tabs you bought directly. And not the way the majority of them in the history of poe were purchased which is by upgrading normal tabs.
