Ambush Scarab of Containment Invasive Adversaries bug
So I have searched around looking for an open thread reporting this bug and wasn't able to find one. There are two other threads I could find, but both were closed without any resolution seemingly.
The issue is that when using the aforementioned scarab, occasionally (now my 3rd map in last 10), the map is absolutely packed to the brim with the packs of difficult and rewarding monsters. So much so in fact that my game lags worse than I'v ever seen it! The way I understood it was that the scarab prevented normal mob spawns and that's the way it normally works, but what happens here is anything but normal. I cant complain about the shear amount of loot, but this does not seem intentional. If it happens again I'm just gonna have to unspec the atlas node, as its just causing waaay too much lag! This keeps happening with about a 1/3 proc rate. I'v been running mainly corrupted Elderslayer maps with this strat, not sure if that matters at all. Here is a screenshot of the monster density. It lagged so bad taking it, my globes and all my ui stuff disappeared during the ss.

Ye this happens a lot to me and my friends (maybe not 1/3 tho), only happened to me on t17's but ye this is quitte a crazy bug !

Bug has existed since Necropolis league when the passive first was added. I think that league I was trying to prove if it was Jun doing it for the longest time because I was getting 2/2 spawns with no safehouse ready, but ended up being a different bug. The overflow is caused by a specific invasive mob/pack that can't spawn in the strongbox so they all overflow.
Map doesn't matter, it is just whether or not the bugged pack spawns while using the scarab, hence the inconsistency. I was running only Jungle Valley's that league, but there's dozens of T17 bug reports since then. No word from GGG yet for a fix. |
