Play to relax? Lazy mode? Where is it??
So, i am not a competitive player at all. I play to relax, for adventure, for items and discovery, for fame and glory!
But what I've seen until now is ACTION, ACTION, ACTION. Hmm. I will enjoy this game since seems there are no lazy build, or relaxing gameplay? Please don't put me to change my play style, I don't want to play a game only how others want, I want to play a game my way. I am just curios if this game will match my playstyle. Try Sims4 or a Animal Crossing.

I think having 1 mode of difficulty is a bit backwards in ARPGs. Most people want to actually play the game so that should be the standard mode. Also having a D4 style mode where the game has 0 challenge and it essentially plays itself is a valid thing to ask. Zoomers will probably gravitate towards that mode as well. I think it's a win win for everyone.
Thinking of it, there could even be 3 modes: Mode no1: D4 style arcade blaster Mode no2: Standard, like what we have right now Mode no3: Ruthless with higher difficulty Last edited by rifraf-_-#9478 on Aug 21, 2025, 12:33:41 PM

" I consider it super lazy to not gain foundational knowledge on how to succeed in the game. You only have to find a high base dps weapon with a lot of physical % increase and when you know how defense works alongside abusing Spirit skills and its pretty much clean sailing. Fundamentally though this game delivers obstacles and that's the essence of games and many can't really relate to certain people who want the game to almost play itself, like a console game with many cutscenes. " it is not a game made to play semi afk with your mind elsewhere. It does need focus at least in the harder spots. |

" That cannot exist in a game with a shared economy. Sorry but it is impossible. Unless you make 3 separate markets. This woudl be possible in future but is absurd to expect that in EA when theya re still trying to figure ONE difficulty level balance. |

" this is already present: Mode no1: D4 style arcade blaster = trade Mode no2: Standard, like what we have right now = ssf Mode no3: Ruthless with higher difficulty = 'UnidentifiedItemTier >= 2' |

" Ofcourse these modes would have separate economies. Not only that, they would potentially have different drop rates as well to cater to specific audiences. It goes without saying but characters wouldn't be able to migrate into different modes. This is the way to go in my opinion. Having just 1 way to play with tons of setbacks and sacrifices in order to make literally everyone happy makes very little sense anymore. |

I think ypu can play PoE 2 relax mode.
My first PoE 2 char was intense. That's because I am learning the whole system. But after the first char, it was actually relax mode since my 2nd char has all the uniques I can use while leveling. Kinda comical how I quickly blew Act 1 with this second char. Actually even on my first char, I can play maps in relax mode. If I wanna intensify it, I just pick a mod with Temporal Chains, 33% monster attack speed, chaos dmg, 400% crit etc etc. Last edited by BigBoom9240#8803 on Aug 21, 2025, 1:34:42 PM
