Content Update 0.3.0 — Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict

Checking the updated patch notes each day and I'm pretty baffled by the fact that there are still no nerfs to Deadeye in todays update.

Really hope they either post updates patch notes with deadeye adjustments today or tomorrow before patch launch, or that some of the unknown variables (all supports, the passive tree, etc.) causes Deadeye to be balanced a bit better.

I mean, they have to know that it'll be very op.

Dude! Deadeye can reach 85% block chance now, with 15% damage taken from block.
You just need anvil + svalinn and some block nodes that put you in 80% block, corrupted items 85%, is nuts.

Welp, more nerfs last night. I'm trying really hard to have faith that the passive tree changes will make this all make sense, but I'm doubtful. GGG needs to get all of the content in the game, THEN try to balance it all. Every time they add a new class and weapon type they're going to have to come back and balance again, and we won't have a cohesive full game until 2027 at this rate.

Stop being afraid of things being too strong, start being afraid of almost everything being too weak. If a few outliers are OP but everything is viable, people won't be so compelled to play the few OP builds (lightning spear last league, looking at deadeye currently) and we won't feel like there is so little build variety.

I know many people will still always just play the best of the best, but I sincerely believe there are enough of us who would find that boring and play a bigger variety of "not the best but still perfectly viable" builds, and GGG would get a much better picture of the actual overall balance much more quickly.

Defense-wise, LIFE is the biggest problem as I see it. It feels like one of those cases where they are trying to do way too much to every other defense to try to make it work, while fixing life itself would be so much easier for the devs, and make the game much more accessible for the many new players that this game was supposed to attract. It's an ARPG, life has always been the default way to be more survivable, and you simply can't get enough in this game, yet it keeps getting nerfed. Innovation and change can be great, but trying to make life not do what life has always done in these games is not good innovation. It just feels like change for the sake of change without good reason.

New Trade system = huge W
Removal of Cruel acts = huge W
Map mods = W
No tower changes = L
Deadeye = why?
Other Ascendancy changes = mid, except a couple big Ws
Skill changes = scratching my head
Passive tree changes = when? The day of?
Every day they bring in some nerfs except for MF bots, named deadeye.
I wonder why
IDC, i start monk nevertheless, let the other 60% play deadeye
The guys whined about the nerf of the dead eye, now they will cry why it was nerfed :) classic;)

Just remove warrior already, its clear you hate that class, you dont even try to hide it anymore, svalin was the only saving grace warrior (warbringer) was gonna have but u killed that too.

By now, I think we all know what to expect when we see or hear the word "Buff" on any official GGG communication.
