Helmet enchantment is for non-existent skill
![]() Hello. I have a Bringer of Rain helmet in standard which has an enchantment to reduce the cooldown of the skill Riposte by 30%. However, Riposte is not a skill ingame. Are there plans to correct this issue? e.g. to change the enchantment to apply to a real skill, or to (re)introduce a skill called Riposte for it to apply to? Last bumped on Aug 5, 2025, 5:05:30 AM

Not a bug.
Helmet enchants (or any other of the old enchants) don't exist any more, so nothing will be done about it. Riposte got killed off along with other retaliation skills in a patch a while ago. Standard has a lot of old outdated items. 😹😹😹😹😹
I do not and will not use TFT. Gaming Granny :D 🐢🐢🐢🪲🪲🪲 @xjjanie.bsky.social |

" You realize how silly it sounds to say "X doesn't exist anymore" when I posted my thread with a picture of X, existing, right? |

"They don't exist" as in you can no longer obtain them. Perhaps I should have quantified better.

Thanks for clarifying. I understand that legacy/unobtainable items are not typically maintained and are usually left be; however, most of them (for example, legacy jewels or legacy uniques) still do what they are supposed to do, despite no longer being obtainable. I hope that eventually a similar fix can be applied to the helmet enchants that apply to nonexistent skills - while they do not necessarily need to be maintained or made to be core components of the game, it would make sense that they not be simply wrong or non-functional. I struggle to think of any other legacy items/modifiers that simply do not do what they're supposed to do.

The patch notes removing Riposte read "Existing Riposte Skill Gems are now Glacial Shield Swipe Gems", so you could check as to whether the enchantment works with Glacial Shield Swipe.
